BetterLiving currently has five main modules -- farm water, residential water, containment, presence and power. It monitors tank level, pump operations, trough level, bore and other metered flow, electric fence status, gate status, unexpected presence (security), power cut identification. You can also remotely control valves (open and close them) and pumps (turn on and off).
BetterLiving devices use LoRaWAN (world leading long range, low power communication protocol) to send their data to a gateway which is connected to the internet either via your wifi or a 4g connection. Depending on terrain and placement, devices can communicate from more than 5km away from the gateway.
BetterLiving devices can not connect directly to Starlink as it requires too much power but the gateway can connect to the internet via Starlink.
Yes, Starlink can be used to connect your gateway to the internet.
BetterLiving alerts are sent as soon as an issue is identified.
Yes, BetterLiving comes with detailed installation and set up instructions and most BetterLiving devices can be installed by anyone with practical experience of doing jobs around the property. The Pump Control device may need to be implemented by an electrician, depending on the pump it is being connected to.
